OUR PRIVATE APARTMENTS
We have two charming en-suite apartments, nestled in the mountains, above the yacht harbour in tranquil settings. We welcome visitors all year round who are seeking a welcoming and vibrant South African summer vacation, whale-watching or even to hunker down for a cozy Cape Town winter. Sea and Sails is in the Simon's Town Golden Mile and you can easily walk along the historic lanes to the shops, restaurants and Simon's Town Long Beach.
All our rooms are equipped by default with the following amenities:
The bedroom has a sumptuous king size bed (which can be converted to twin beds) and is also equipped with a ceiling fan, closet, dresser and has sliding doors which open to create a darling balconette. Open the doors to take in the breathtaking mountain and sea views and enjoy the lovely through-breeze on summer days. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped. The living room has a leather sleeper couch for overnight guests, and the room opens up to a private balcony with gorgeous views of False Bay and the harbour.
It has a private entrance leading to a spacious sun-deck and pretty garden. Every room has sliding doors which open out to magnificent sea views. The master bedroom is equipped with a luxurious king-size bed (which can be converted to twin beds), wardrobe and dresser. The second bedroom has a double bed, and storage closets. The sitting room is comfortably furnished with a couch, dining table and bar fridge. The kitchenette is well appointed and the pristine bathroom has a luxuriant shower.
FACILITIES
Simonstown has an assortment of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and fresh seafood takeout spots available just a walk away. One of our favourites, the Lighthouse Cafe is pictured here. We are also situated near Kalk Bay which boasts some of Cape Town's favourite restaurants with stunning ocean views.
Start your day with an invigorating coffee, sit down and relax in the sun on your private patio or balcony while you plan your trips for the day.
There are a number of beaches nearby with one that is walking distance. Don't forget to stop by the famous Boulders Beach which is known for its colony of endangered penguins that will swim around you as you kayak or swim.

Everything in Simon's Town is walking distance from your apartment, but should you prefer to drive to the center there is ample parking available next toJubilee Square. Saturdays you can browse the local craft market in the main parking area. If you are looking for unique hand-crafted gifts to bring home, you will find everything you need here.
TOUR
Charming Simon's Town is steeped in history and tradition, yet has many activities on offer from boat trips to kayaking, beaches, museums, golfing, fishing, and the very popular Scratch Patch.
JUBILEE SQUARE: Located in the central part of Simons Town, Jubilee Square provides a myriad of activites for keen visitors. You'll have a pick of restaurants and shops, with harbour views to boot. Saturdays you can browse the craft market in the main parking area.
SCRATCH PATCH & MINERAL WORLD: One of the most popular and convenient places to see and buy gemstones in Cape Town.
BOULDERS BEACH: Come and visit the beach that's internationally famous for its highly endangered African Penguin Colony.
Atlantic Rail Steam Train: Every second week on a Sunday, this majestic old steam train makes its way from Cape Town to Simon's Town and back again.
RED ROCK TRIBAL: Not your usual curio shop! Supporting and empowering local artists throughout southern Africa, Red Rock near Simon's Town is a treasure trove of interesting and eclectic art. Definitely worth a visit!
KAYAKING & CANOEING: Paddle the warm waters of False Bay with KayakCapeTown and see some amazing things. The most popular trip is to visit the penguins at Boulders Beach. Paddles happen every day of the year, weather permitting - not just the summer. And there's always a chance of seeing whales!
